Bear Brand is a powdered milk drink brand[1] introduced in 1976, which was owned by Nestlé.[2] It is available in most areas of Southeast Asia. Bear Brand also known as Marca Oso, a milk owned by Nestle. Indonesian name is Susu Cap Beruang.

History

Sterilized milk first appeared in the 1900s as Marca Oso or Bear Brand Swiss Milk. Powdered milk[1] was introduced in 1976, when Bear Brand Instant Filled Milk Powder was launched.

In 2008 the cereal drink Bear Brand Busog Lusog was introduced.[3] It is one of the more popular cereal drinks. This rendition of the Bear Brand Milk followed shortly after the explosion of the Energen cereal drink in the market. This may have been one of Nestle's reactions to Sigmavit. In Cambodia and Myanmar, it was named Bear Brand Nutritious Cereal Drink.[4] Bear Brand Choco, the chocolate flavored powdered milk drink brand will also available in Bear Brand Adult Plus. In 2011 introduced Bear Brand Adult Plus. Bear Brand Jr. is baby milk supplement brand and formerly named 'Bear Brand 1+', this milk supplement brand is introduced in 2001.

International branding

In Thailand, the Bear Brand Sterilized is branded by other variants. In Cambodia, Bear Brand is introduced in July 2015, while in Myanmar, Bear Brand is introduced in October 2016. Bear Brand's Indonesian package was in slim tube 189ml content.Bear Brand Gold is available in flavors in White Malt, White tea and White beans. Fortified with Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, sterilized low-fat milk is high in calcium and taste malt extract which is available in Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia.

Logos

In 1976, of the launch of the powdered milk of Bear Brand, was the bear with a baby Bear and the wordmark.

In 1996, the shield logo appeared, but in 2002 change the form current shield logo form. 2009, Nestlé promises to change Bear Brand logo to remove the baby bear on its logo.

In 2004, the logo in some countries are used the circle logo.

In 2013, the Bear Brand logo with text in Franklin Gothic is changed to Arial

Commercials, advertisements and slogans

In the Philippines, used the slogan "Tibay Araw-Araw" in 10 years 2012–2022. Currently programmed "Laki sa Gatas" first launched in 2006.[5]

In 2015, launched Bear Brand's Alamat ng Matibay book. Which is the character is Mina and her friend Sonson.[6]

In Indonesia, a van of Daihatsu Luxio commercial van in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. Slogan is "Listen to your Body".
