The 1988 United States presidential election in the District of Columbia took place on November 8, 1988, as part of the 1988 United States presidential election. Voters chose three representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.

Washington, D.C. was a landslide in favor of the Democratic candidate, Governor Michael Dukakis of Massachusetts. Vice President George H. W. Bush lost the District, though his percentage of 14.30% remains the highest amount any Republican candidate has garnered as of the 2012 election in D.C.
