Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves

Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Max Wilhelm Flinzer[Note 1] (9 November 1889 – 17 June 1976) was a highly decorated Oberst of the Reserves in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.

  2. According to Wegmann on 5 October 1940, he indicates that 6 June 1942 may also be possible.[2]
