Saltos Acima or Saltos de Cima is a village and a plateau in the northcentral part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde in the northeast end of the municipality of Santa Catarina, located 1 kilometer south of the boundary with São Miguel. Its 2010 population was 105. It is situated 5 km northeast of Assomada and is about 2 km northeast on the Assomada-Calheta de São Miguel Road. Its nearby settlement includes Pingo Chuva to the south, to the north is Tagarra which is in the municipality of São Miguel.

Subdivisions includes Cutelo Mendes, Flamengos, Limoeiro, Pau Cortado, Pe Sanebo and Ribeirão Asno.

The settlement is named after the nearby stream named Ribeira do Salto, an 8 km long stream which starts just east of the village and flows nearly northeast to the Atlantic northwest of Achada Laje southeast of Calheta de São Miguel in the municipality of Santa Cruz. The river name comes form that a part of the river and the valley are salty mainly alongside the Atlantic.

Agriculture dominates the area, the groves dominates a part of the area.

In the Flamengos area, its geology consists of its formation formed between 5. 5 to 4. 5 million years ago during the early Pliocene and the Zanclean periods, it consists of breccia rocks and rocks originated from lava and pyroclastic flows.[2]

Between 1846 and 1849, Flamengos was the seat of the municipality of Santa Catarina. It moved from and later returned to Casa Grande, south of Assomada.[3]
