Nazımiye is a small town and its surrounding district in Tunceli Province, Turkey. The town has a population of 1,636.

It was formerly named Kızıl Kilise, but was renamed in the late 19th century after Nazime Sultan, the daughter of Sultan Abdülaziz.[3] [4]

Weather

The summer months are generally hot and dry, and most of the rainfall occurs in winter, spring and autumn. The average rainfall is 500–600 mm per year.
