List of ABC television affiliates (table)

For a list of affiliates by state, see List of ABC television affiliates (by U.S. state).

The ABC Television Network is an American television network. As of March 2015, the network currently has eight owned-and-operated stations, and current affiliation agreements with 238 other television stations.[1] This is a table listing of ABC's affiliates, with ABC-owned stations separated from privately owned affiliates, and arranged in alphabetical order by the station's city of license. There are links to and articles on each of the stations, describing their local programming, hosts and technical information, such as broadcast frequencies

The station's virtual (PSIP) channel number follows the call letters. The number in parentheses that follows is the station's actual digital channel number.

This film, television or video-related list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it with reliably sourced additions.

Notes:

1) Two boldface asterisks appearing following a station's call letters (**) indicate a station that was built and signed-on by ABC;
2) Two boldface plus signs appearing following a station's call letters (++) indicate a station that was owned by Capital Cities Communications prior to its acquisition of ABC in 1986;
3) Several stations are listed with 1953 as their first year of affiliation with the network. Though ABC launched its television service in 1948, the year 1953 appears because ABC acknowledges its present history to have commenced in February of that year, following the merger of the American Broadcasting Company with United Paramount Theaters.

Footnotes

  1. KJCT-LP, formerly KKHD-LP, replaced KGBY channel 20, which was formerly known as KJCT channel 8 and had been affiliated with ABC since 1979. The change was structured so that KKHD-LP/KJCT-LP and KJCT/KGBY swapped virtual channel numbers, keeping ABC on virtual channel 8. (Hashemzadeh, Hossein (October 21, 2014). "Re: KJCT(TV), Grand Junction, CO Facility ID No. 52593 KKHD-LP, Grand Junction, CO Facility ID No. 128473 Request for Waivers of ATSC A/65C" (PDF). CDBS Public Access. Federal Communications Commission. Retrieved October 28, 2014.)
  2. WAWV-TV (formerly WFXW) rejoined the ABC network on Sept. 1, 2011. This station was originally an ABC affiliate (under previous call signs WIIL-TV and WBAK) until it switched to Fox in 1995. ()
  3. WTVA 9.2 replaced WKDH, which ceased operations on August 31, 2012. (; "ABC Getting New Outlet In Columbus-Tupelo". TVNewsCheck. August 28, 2012. Retrieved August 28, 2012.; "WTVA to broadcast ABC-TV". WTVA.com. August 28, 2012. Retrieved August 28, 2012.)
