Geography

Located at the foot of the Mont Blanc Vallorcine is a small ski village located within the Chamonix Valley, forming part of the Domaine de Balme ski area (which includes Le Tour). Apart from cross country and show shoeing, Vallorcine has only a small selection of restaurants; all other activities and entertainment can be found in Chamonix (20 km away). Vallorcine is removed from the bustle and tourism of Chamonix; however, it is easily accessible to the large Chamonix resort and its ski areas including Brevent / Flegere Grand Montets Les Houches.
